Since this morning, Alan and his crew have been enjoying a hint of stability with wind on starboard tack, but they remain at the mercy of the whims of their new Mediterranean playground. Onboard AMAALA, they keep their spirits high and push forward whenever and wherever they can!
“We don’t know how long the wind will last. Every calm patch is ours — if you want a bit of flat water, come sail with me! It’s tough to see a delay of less than 10 miles turn into 350 behind the leaders. I’m terrible at math, but that’s quite a percentage! We keep our spirits up, push the boat forward, and make the most of our off-watch time to rest, because after 3 hours of constant trimming, you get exhausted fast!”
Another fine demonstration of the Swiss Offshore Team’s spirit, where resilience, adaptability, and teamwork remain the guiding forces.
