The Ocean Race Europe 2025 : News from onboard - Day 4

14.08.2025

"Since this morning, we're finally along the English coast. It's grey and there's 50 shades of grey. We spent the night in very unstable winds, tacking and changing sails. We gave it our all! Yesterday, we still had a glimmer of hope that we could catch up with the Canadians, but given the way the weather is turning out for us, it looks more like a series of tacking manoeuvres than a “direct” route.

Everything is going well on board. We are working hard to perform beautiful tacks, we communicate well, we listen to each other, it's really enjoyable. We have a crew that never gets bored! It's really great to sail together, we can already see the potential, even though some of the crew have only been sailing for a few days, but they already have a great understanding of the boat.

We didn't break any speed records on this leg, but it was a wonderful experience. There's a great energy and a lot of enthusiasm, so we'll be back next time!"
