Sailing up the Baltic Sea along the Danish coast, the crew performed a series of tacks in winds of over 20 knots until the early hours of the morning.
"A very good first night aboard, everything is fine! We are all really happy to be here. Upwind sailing isn't our strong point, but we're not giving up. Yesterday was one of the most beautiful starts I've ever had the chance to experience on the water. We pushed the boat hard, it was magical! Everyone is pretty tired from the night, we're taking turns so we can keep the IMOCA running at 100%."
While Alan and Simon are already perfectly in their element, Lucie and Félix, who are still new to the IMOCA circuit, are taking every opportunity to improve and become more efficient.
Despite unfavourable conditions for their boat, the sailors are staying close to the fleet, continuing to find their bearings, carried by the joy of being at sea. Now it's time to rest and strategise before dealing with a weather system that is expected to be ‘not easy’ in the coming days in the North Sea
