After a day of racing at good speed yesterday, allowing them to catch up with their Canadian competitors, the Team AMAALA crew must slow down this Saturday, as the wind is once again nowhere to be found.
With hair-raising weather, no reliable forecasts, and constantly changing conditions, it's difficult for Alan and his crew to make long-term plans. “We're taking it hour by hour, we don't know when we'll arrive or what day it is. We're focusing on keeping the boat running smoothly and maintaining the atmosphere on board, which is still great!”
South of the Sicilian coast, the challenge remains to sail cleanly and deliver a great team performance on arrival in Boka Bay... Hopefully they won't run out of food at the end of a very, very long leg…
