After a nerve-wracking start to the race, the IMOCA AMAALA finally caught the long-awaited Tramontane winds early this morning. A liberating breeze after hours of waiting, during which keeping a smile on board was a constant challenge.
The crew was able to pick up speed and get back on course to round the first waypoint of this fifth leg, ready to make the most of every gust and fine-tune every sail to close the gap with the rest of the fleet.
Efficiency and fluidity are the goals as they head toward Boka Bay, with plenty of lessons learned along the way!
