It's funny to be here in southwestern Greece: from now on, everything is new to us. We're entering explorer mode aboard a racing boat. The sea is incredibly beautiful to look at, but terribly difficult. For the sailors as well as the boat.
It should improve as we progress, so we need to hold on for a few more hours before we can slip into more pleasant speeds and sail along the south of Crete. I'm not sure we'll see much of the landscape over the next few days...
But I'm still looking forward to sticking my nose out of the boat, taking a breath of warm air, and admiring the Mediterranean. And improve our navigation choices, which are currently based on gut feeling because the weather forecast is clearly wrong!
I'm also looking forward to getting some sleep, because I've been on duty non-stop for 24 hours, without much sleep lately. When the wind changes!
