Brest, in the starting-blocks

05.05.2022

Alan Roura and his IMOCA Hublot arrived this Thursday morning in Brest, to wait for three days before the start of the first race of the season, the Guyader Bermudes 1000 Race.

Alan Roura and his crew left Lorient Wednesday evening and arrived Thursday morning, after some final training miles off the shore of the Breton point. “This delivery was also the opportunity to try out a few things and validate others,” confirmed the skipper. Three days before the first race of the IMOCA Globe Series, it’s time to settle the last details. As for tomorrow, it’s show time! With a series of speed runs in the bay of Brest for starters. Before setting sail on Sunday for a 1,200 mile loop in the Bay of Biscay. A first life-size test for the Genevan at the helm of his new boat, to tackle the 2022 championship, competing against 23 other contestants. A record!
